Joyful lives– luncheon with Rev (DR) Maak Hay Chun

Was great honour & glad to have lunch with our respectable senior Rev (DR) Maak Hay Chun; together were Mrs Maak, Elder HH Yeoh, Deaconess Lisa & Deaconess Eddrine.

Prior to the luncheon, Elder HH told us that Rev (DR) Maak is a man of wisdom and knowledge; but to me, the junior, he is a great teacher and God’s missionary, who is always stand far up the stage to deliver wonderful messages from God. I think this will be a solemn luncheon.

Rev (DR) Maak’s eyes sight are poor since 2010, although we hardly noticed when he was on the far stage deliver God’s messages. We were concern of the venue of luncheon, as it was at Orchid CC, which may cause inconveniences to Rev (DR) Maak.

When we greeting Rev (DR) Maak from his apartment, Rev (DR) Maak was walking slowly holding Mrs Maak hands, from far, we heard his voice, appreciating us for inviting him & Mrs Maak for luncheon. When approached near the gate, Rev (DR) Maak hold every individual of our hands with his warm hand and want us to introduce ourselves to him. He remember individual of us!

On the way, we told Rev (DR) Maak the luncheon venue is a distance from NLC, he told us “Is fine so long the foods are nice” follows with cheerful laughers.

On the way, Rev (DR) Maak shared with us his visiting to Singapore and the weather here, follows with cheerful laughers. We start talking freely.

During the luncheon Rev (DR) Maak shared with us his living in Penang, Elder HH home town, follows with cheerful laughers. We enjoyed and join in the conversation freely.

Rev (DR) Maak shared with us also the cuisines in both Hong Kong and Singapore follows with cheerful laughers; we enjoy eating as well as knowing good foods and places for cuisines, wonderful!

At the end of the luncheon, both senior, Rev (DR) Maak & Mrs Maak continue giving thanks for our accompany. Indeed, it was both respectable senior who brought us wonderful and joyful time!! Give thanks to our Lord’s mercy!

We can see joy, love and concern flowing from both Rev (DR) Maak & Mrs Maak. Although Rev (DR) Maak has poor eyes sight and has to move very slowly, Mrs Maak need to put in great efforts to take care him, we do not find any sadness, grief and sorrow on them.

Both respectable senior, Rev (DR) Maak & Mrs Maak, are the living testimony for Christ, their lives are more powerful and stronger than thousands words deliver on stage. Give thanks!

We prays for God’s gracious blessing with both at all time, to give them good health & inspiriting spirit; we prays that both Rev (DR) Maak & Mrs Maak can serve our Lord till Lord’s time come; we pray that our Lord will uses us like HE using them, faithful servant to our Lord. Amen.
