We are SO … SO…. SO… Blessed –LCC on 10 Jan 2009

God has blessed us with a Sunny day and refreshed us with breeze…

Today a gang of lovely brothers and sisters, friends, young as well as senior were in RED and WHITE ahead to TPY Block 5 to lend a hand in the LCC (LOVE CARE COMMUNIY- by Newton Life Church) volunteers serves the people to do spring cleaning and CNY decoration.

Our gang of JOYFUL group was assigned to a family @ second floor…

When the door opened, a senior Auntie welcomes us into her home, her appearance at mid Fifty (real age >70s) …

Her home was very neat and tidy; staying by herself…she was so grateful for our coming…

While we were cleaning, Auntie keeps on giving thanks for our assistant and said sorry that NO drink or foods for us….
She told me (she was taking her meal) she was having a small can of “Dou Si" fish for three days…

She asked me twice, that her Sofa bed (Old but very clean) was torn, which was discarded by someone many years ago, can I find an old but better one for her?

Auntie told us that many families staying around her are like her, some are elderly and sick, wishing that we are not only helping her .. but able to help people around her, because she felt that she is very lucky to have people to visit her….

She told me, people from the Church and community center are very kind and helpful, always come and help these old people..give her some rice, can food or meal...she keep on Give thanks….

She also introduces us her neighbours, one Indian lady and one speechless young girl, told them we are from the Church and invited them to join us to go church…

We decorated Auntie home, her face full of Joy. Auntie told us, for years, NO one decorated for her home….

Heartfelt speaking, we did not do much for Auntie as her Home is very clean and tidy, we only share a little joy to her in this NEW YEAR.

But GOD told me, we are very... very… very blessed.

We will be back on coming Saturday, to share with Auntie “ANG POW” for CNY and “ANG POW” for the 1st prize of the home decoration. I pray that by then I can have a new Sofa bed for Auntie…

We are very very blessed... pray that more people can also receive God’s blessing via us.

GOD’s bless.

How about YEAR 2009….

Remark a sharing from RBC ministry “Our Daily Bread” dated 30 Dec09 by C.P.Hai:

*********************************************************************************
……Jesus’ disciples also encountered a stormy experience. They were on the Sea of Galilee when a windstorm whipped up (Mark 6:48). The storm was so violent that despite being experienced fishermen who knew the lake well, they feared for their lives. But Jesus walked out to them and saved them.
No one can predict with certainty how stormy the New Year will be. We do know, though, that everyone will face storms. But we who have Jesus have our future securely moored to Him. Jesus, who did not fail us in the past, will not fail us in the future.
Lewis Edgar Jones aptly described our situation in his old hymn:
I’ve anchored in Jesus, the storms of life I’ll brave;
I’ve anchored in Jesus, I’ll fear no wind or wave.
I’ve anchored in Jesus, for He hath power to save;
I’ve anchored to the Rock of Ages!
How will you fare in the storms of the new year? If you’re anchored in Jesus, you have nothing to fear. — C. P. Hia
Faith in Christ will keep us steady in the stormy sea of change.
*******************************************************************************

Pray that in God’s grace, we will face the unknown ahead of us by anchored us in Christ Jesus by Faith. By it is stormy, uncertain, tribulation or …., we have faith that our almighty God is in control of everything and we can walk with Jesus without fear. God bless.
