Some crap i learned years ago...
This set of numbers can help you calculate which day of the week any given date is if you do not have a calendar with you.
The numbers represents the 12 months of the year.
The first 6 is for January, 2 for February, 2 for March and so on...
Here's how to calculate.
Eg. 12 May 2008
Corresponding number for May - 7
Date in May - 12
Add these up (12 + 7) you will get 19.
For 2008 you will need to add a factor of 3 (calibration explained below), hence 19 + 3 = 22.
Based on 1-Mon 2-Tue 3-Wed 4-Thur 5-Fri 6-Sat 7-Sun 8-Mon 9-Tue etc etc, 22 should be a Monday, hence 12 May 2008 falls on a Monday.
Before you start using this set of numbers, bear in mind you will have to "calibrate" it at the beginning of each year and again on 1st March if that year happens to be a leap year.
Here's how to calibrate.
Eg. 1st January 2008
Jan = 6
Date = 1
6 + 1 = 7
Since 1st Jan 2008 is a Tue(2), all dates in 2008 must add a factor of 2. However, since 2008 happens to be a leap year, all dates prior to 29 Feb add 2, all dates after 29 Feb add 3.
Hmmmm seems like it's a little more difficult to explain than to actually use the formula hahaha. With practise you should be able to master it in no time.
Ya I know it's crap....but it's ALWAYS fun to know SOME crap right?

New Comer! Welcome
One Small Choice - Joyful Devotion.
This Soul searching article was taken from the daily bread devotion.
Sometime we think it might be just a small choice or minute decision to be made but somehow the consequent turnout to be ultimate & permanent.
Nevertheless, I was adored & encouraged by the point out at the end said “Serving God will not always be the easy choice. But it is a choice that brings the kind of consequence we can live with”
May God bless us with many blessing and joyful days when we chosen to Serve HIM.
Cheer! :-) :-)

Joshua 24:15-18 (New International Version)
15. But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."
16. Then the people answered, "Far be it from us to forsake the LORD to serve other gods!
17 It was the LORD our God himself who brought us and our fathers up out of Egypt, from that land of slavery, and performed those great signs before our eyes. He protected us on our entire journey and among all the nations through which we traveled.
18 And the LORD drove out before us all the nations, including the Amorites, who lived in the land. We too will serve the LORD, because he is our God."
As a boy, my father often played violin in the local symphony. This budding young talent continued improving into his high school years.
Then one day he decided to join his buddies in a harmless prank. As they raced through the school hallways and out the door, my dad hurried to follow them. The door slammed just as he reached it. His left hand smashed the glass of the door—severing the tendons to three fingers. All the doctors could do was tie the tendons in knots, rendering his fingers useless and taking the violin out of his life forever.
I wonder how Dad’s life might have been different had he not made that one small choice. “What-ifs” have dubious merit—we can always second-guess ourselves. But we cannot underestimate the impact of our choices. One choice can produce lifelong consequences, for good or bad.
Joshua’s counsel is a good place to start. “Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve,” he told Israel. “But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” (Josh. 24:15).
Serving God will not always be the easy choice. But it is a choice that brings the kind of consequence we can live with. — Bill Crowder
I am resolved to follow the Savior,Faithful and true each day;Heed what He sayeth, do what He willeth—He is the living way. —Hartsough
What you will be tomorrow depends on the choices you make today.
