Becoming Like Jesus Is a Slow Process.....
1. It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High,
2 to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night
Hey guys and girls
Found this daily devotion article by Pastor Rick Warren is helpful and has shown a right prospective of propose driven living as well as how to becoming like Christ ….
It has taught us not to fall into vanity and self-absorption but look and walk in God’s greater plan in us….
Cheers :) :)
Referring to this process, Paul said, “This will continue until we are . . . mature, just as Christ is, and we will be completely like him” (Ephesians 4:13 CEV).
You are a work in progress. Your spiritual transformation in developing the character of Jesus will take the rest of your life, and even then it won’t be completed here on earth. It will only be finished when you get to heaven or when Jesus returns.
At that point, whatever unfinished work on your character is left will be wrapped up. The Bible says that when we are finally able to see Jesus perfectly, we will become perfectly like him: “We can’t even imagine what we will be like when Christ returns. But we do know that when he comes we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is” (1 John 3:2 NLT).
Much confusion in the Christian life comes from ignoring the simple truth that God is far more interested in building your character than he is anything else. We worry when God seems silent on specific issues such as “What career should I choose?”
The truth is there are many different careers that could be in God’s will for your life. What God cares about most is that whatever you do, you do in a Christ like manner (1 Corinthians 10:31; 1 Corinthians 16:14; Colossians 3:17, 23).
God is far more interested in who you are than in what you do. We are human beings, not human doings. God is much more concerned about your character than your career, because you will take your character into eternity, but not your career.
The Bible warns, “Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. . . . Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you” (Romans 12:2 MSG).
You must make a counterculture decision to focus on becoming more like Jesus. Otherwise, other forces like peers, parents, co-workers, and culture will try to mold you into their image.
Sadly, a quick review of many popular Christian books reveals that many believers have abandoned living for God’s great purposes and settled for personal fulfillment and emotional stability. That is narcissism, not discipleship.
Jesus did not die on the cross just so we could live comfortable, well-adjusted lives. His purpose is far deeper: he wants to make us like himself before he takes us to heaven. This is our greatest privilege, our immediate responsibility, and our ultimate destiny.

Spreading God's Blessings
I've never really liked being tasked with soliciting donations. In the past, more often than not I'll just hold on to the donation cards till it was time to submit and then I'll simply fill up 3 or 4 columns with fictictious names with MINIMUM contributions and hand up the card. Job done. Hassle free. Hee
When NLC announced that we're raising funds for the 2 children's charity and that we'll be given donation cards to help solicit funds, I was filled with enthusiasm. I likened this donation card to a single gold coin entrusted to me by my Master. Don't understand? Ok, here's my one-of-a-kind-weirdo-explanation:
Standing on a pulpit delivering a sermon - 10 gold coins
Worship Leader, Church elder or deacon - 5 gold coins
Fundraising with the aid of donation card - 1 gold coin
Indeed, God wants to see how we handle his 1 gold coin before He decides if we are worthy of handling 5 or even 10 gold coins. I am sure we all know what happened to the servant who was given that solitary gold coin, it was taken from him and given to the servant with 10 gold coins (20 if you include the 10 more he earned). No way am I letting Pastor Abraham have my one and only gold coin! I intend to use it to score points with God!
For the first time in my life, a donation card is more than just a donation card. It is a chance to serve God in an easy yet achievable way! More than that, it is also an opportunity for us to spread God's blessings to our friends and colleagues!! It's true! Every single one of our friends and colleagues who donates will be blessed by God because they are contributing to God's ministry. Let us do away with our skeptism and cynicism and put past experiences with donation cards behind us. God wants to bless our friends through us.
What are we waiting for?

Sensitive to people around us....
Be Sensible and prudent….
Find wisdom from God and be vigilant to accomplish work….
Compassionate feel to others...
Caring thought to the needed....
Willing hands to help ….
Be a chance giver......
Be a blessing for others….
Be a God's blessed one...
Always put in Mind: Life is Beautiful…
Lives is short….
Live is joyful in God’s blessing.
Let us enjoy our best life now in God’s plan.
Cheer up!
